Job Opening: Public Information Assistant

NNMRECThe Northwest National Marine Renewable Energy Center (NNMREC) at Oregon State University (OSU) is recruiting for a Public Information Assistant. This is a 12-month, fixed-term, part-time (approximately 30 hours a week) position. The position is funded primarily through grants and contracts to NNMREC, an OSU led partnership with the University of Washington (UW). NNMREC was established in September 2008 to develop a full range of capabilities to support wave and tidal energy development for the United States. The Public Information Assistant will report directly with the NNMREC Program Coordinator and will work closely with the NNMREC Staff, Principal Investigators and students.

NNMREC facilitates the development of marine renewable energy technology via research, education, and outreach. We work closely with a variety of stakeholders including: device developers, community members, ocean users, federal and state regulators, and government officials.
